The Waking State

Offered in person at North Node (Kingston, NY)

Saturday, March 30th, 2024 1-4pm / $60

As spring begins, we are invited by nature to bring the spark of aliveness and vitality back into the self after the winter season of rest and dormancy. As we emerge from wintry introspection, we are called to lift our energy and step into time for growth.

Through a well-balanced practice of somatic movement explorations, breathing exercises, meditation and journaling we will encourage deepened connection to and appreciation for spring, and cultivate a sense of refreshment and renewal within the body and mind.

Come and explore ways to:

  • Ground and center the body in order to establish presence within the energy of spring

  • Support the body’s natural cleansing processes associated with spring through gentle movement

  • Support the organs and natural elements associated with spring: lymph, blood, liver, and wood element

  • Encourage the release of stuck energy and invite clearing within the body, mind, and our lives off the mat

Please bring with you:

A yoga mat, journal, your favorite writing utensil and water. All props will be provided.

This workshop is inclusive and open to all levels of somatic practice experience.
