Somatic Boundaries
an experiential, in-person workshop
Saturday, February 28, 2026 2-5pm
The Bridge / 93 Broadway Kingston, New York 12401
$45-65 Sliding Scale / 1 free spot available
Boundaries help us identify what is happening within as distinct from what is happening without, so we may form a dialogue between the two.
During this experiential workshop, we will explore boundaries and their impact on the way we move through our lives. Through a well-balanced practice of somatic movement explorations, journaling, breath-work and meditation, we will engage with simple practices that can help us to more clearly identify internal and external boundary cues in an embodied way on a regular basis.
What the workshop will cover:
The qualitative states of boundaries such as porous, armored or collapsed: how they are formed and how to create repair when necessary
Practices that can help us clarify how boundaries play out in relationships: what meeting, merging and spacing feel like and how to identify these nuances in daily life
How to clarify, strengthen and communicate boundary awareness through meditation, breath-work, movement, and somatic explorations
Ways to identify and respond to when your boundaries are both respected and crossed with a trauma informed approach
Please bring with you:
A journal and your favorite writing utensil. All props will be provided.
What participants are saying:
I signed up for Somatic Boundaries to learn how to listen to my body's boundary cues. The workshop was a great mixture of theory and practice. A line that has stuck with me from the workshop is "you want to play ball with people who want to play ball with you." I better understand that there are no universal "healthy boundaries," but rather this is something individual to each of us, and our bodies hold keys to understanding our own healthy boundaries. This would be a great workshop for anyone who deals with challenging relationships as well as those who struggle with decision-making.
